Haven

adminRole.integration.test.js

The Admin role follows admin: a new server gets the role and its first admin wears it, and whoever becomes admin later (a transfer, admin recovery, the ADMIN_USERNAME bootstrap) is given it too. Servers converted before this keep the role they already have (#5707 )

2026-09-30 21:36:25 -04:00

autoCert.integration.test.js

Every install path uses Haven's own certificate generator (#5586 )

2026-09-23 21:14:14 -04:00

botVoiceApi.integration.test.js

Add secure bot voice gateway (#5531 )

2026-08-27 00:30:26 -04:00

channelCodeClientState.test.js

Voice relay (off by default): with the built-in relay on, each person in a call sends once to the server, which passes it on, so calls are no longer capped by everyone's upload. Mic, camera and screen go through it; bots and apps without relay support still connect directly in the same call; calls recover on their own after a server restart and move to direct connections if the relay is turned off. mediasoup is an optional dependency, so an install without it keeps working peer to peer

2026-09-27 03:44:53 -04:00

channelDragAutoscroll.test.js

Channel and DM lists auto-scroll while dragging near the edges (#5591 )

2026-09-08 13:20:10 -04:00

chatImageUrls.test.js

Show Ferry and bot images on desktop that Haven Mobile already showed (#5550 )

2026-09-01 21:52:53 -04:00

clientIp.test.js

TRUST_PROXY defaults to proxies on this machine or the local network, so a directly exposed server ignores a forged X-Forwarded-For; sockets and HTTP read the setting the same way

2026-09-23 23:27:00 -04:00

compactLayout.test.js

Density hook guard accepts the shared picker helper's key list (#5582 )

2026-09-07 13:02:32 -04:00

DM calls: starting voice in a DM or group DM rings the other members (#5697 )

2026-09-26 16:31:58 -04:00

dmSendGate.test.js

DMs ask before anything goes out unencrypted, remember each contact's encryption key and warn when it changes, and the lock in a DM's header shows whether it is encrypted

2026-09-23 23:55:00 -04:00

e2e-group.test.js

Group DM E2E: crypto core, key distribution, and tests (#5499 )

2026-09-01 22:00:38 -04:00

e2eFileCleanup.test.js

Files sent in encrypted DMs are removed with their messages (#5699 ): the sender names the file alongside the encrypted message (only their own uploads count), deleting the message, the DM or the channel by any route notes it through a database trigger, and a sweep moves it to deleted-attachments. Deleted rows are also overwritten in the database file instead of lingering until reused

2026-09-27 18:35:05 -04:00

e2ePassphrase.test.js

Settings > Encryption: lock the encrypted-DM key backup with a passphrase of your own instead of your login password, which the server receives at every sign-in; sign-in then asks for the passphrase, and a password change leaves the backup alone

2026-09-24 00:25:52 -04:00

effectsPreference.test.js

Visual effects survive a desktop relaunch, synced like the theme (#5589 )

2026-09-08 13:21:52 -04:00

emojiUpload.test.js

Custom emoji: an animated WebP or PNG uploads animated instead of being flattened by the cropper, and the cropper can zoom out until a wide picture fits whole (#5694 )

2026-09-25 21:33:07 -04:00

fakeDiscord.js

Ferry bridges forums: a Discord forum pairs with a Haven forum, new posts on either side become posts on the other with title, tags and author, replies cross both ways, and which topic is which post survives a restart; a forum only pairs with a forum

2026-10-02 00:20:14 -04:00

ferry.test.js

Ferry bridges forums: a Discord forum pairs with a Haven forum, new posts on either side become posts on the other with title, tags and author, replies cross both ways, and which topic is which post survives a restart; a forum only pairs with a forum

2026-10-02 00:20:14 -04:00

ferryAutomod.test.js

Discord bridge: @everyone and @here from Discord ping only when Discord says the message really pinged everyone, and a Haven role's name typed on Discord no longer pings that role

2026-09-23 21:26:29 -04:00

ferryForums.test.js

Ferry bridges forums: a Discord forum pairs with a Haven forum, new posts on either side become posts on the other with title, tags and author, replies cross both ways, and which topic is which post survives a restart; a forum only pairs with a forum

2026-10-02 00:20:14 -04:00

forumChannels.test.js

Tests: a certless start makes its own certificate; plain-HTTP tests say so explicitly

2026-09-07 19:52:23 -04:00

forumParity.test.js

Forums read like forums: topic cards, gallery, sort, tags, New Post, plus NSFW channels, settings search and one create form (#5595 )

Forum feed view and tile size sliders for the gallery and Files and Media (#5630 )

2026-09-10 22:55:11 -04:00

gradientRoles.test.js

Gradient role colors: a role can draw names as a gradient between two colors, optionally with a slow shimmer (off for anyone who has reduced motion on), in the member list, chat, threads, profile cards, mentions, voice and the role editor's live preview; plain roles and the mobile apps see no change

2026-10-02 00:15:24 -04:00

group-e2e-server.test.js

Tests: a certless start makes its own certificate; plain-HTTP tests say so explicitly

2026-09-07 19:52:23 -04:00

havenGlyphs.test.js

Tests: the format picker looks its labels up with a template string, and the template label test expects the emoji main keeps

2026-09-18 19:59:56 -04:00

httpModeHeaders.test.js

Flash games load the Ruffle player from Haven itself: pinned as a dependency instead of the newest build from unpkg, and no page's CSP lists unpkg any more

i18n.test.js

Keep English as the base locale in the i18n tests (#5551 )

permGrid.test.js

Permissions grid with Users tab and Member/Mod defaults (#5675 )

2026-09-18 22:54:28 -04:00

presenceDeltas.test.js

Member lists scale: updates are batched per channel, the app gets only the members that changed with default fields left out, and older apps still get whole lists; 200 people arriving went from 700 MB of traffic to 10 MB

2026-09-27 02:34:24 -04:00

releasableUploads.test.js

Deleting a message or DM only removes files its own author uploaded as attachments and nothing else uses; naming someone else's file in a message no longer gets it purged

2026-09-23 21:04:06 -04:00

replyContext.test.js

Reply banners name the bot instead of [Deleted User] (#5566 )

2026-09-05 00:49:36 -04:00

replyToBot.integration.test.js

Bots can post into threads: the webhook API takes thread_id (a top-level message in the bot's channel), and the reply shows in the thread the same way a person's does (#5706 )

2026-09-29 17:56:05 -04:00

roleMentions.test.js

Tests for role mentions and forum cues, and cache busters for the changed modules

2026-09-07 19:25:53 -04:00

A channel's member list leaves out members its required roles hide it from, and updates as soon as the requirement changes (#5703 )

2026-09-29 17:52:31 -04:00

safeFetch.test.js

Link previews and the image proxy check every redirect and every address a host resolves to, and connect to the address they checked, so a member cannot point them at the server's own network

Keep flags and keycap emoji in soundboard names (#5567 )

Fetch cloudflared when it is missing, and say why Windows refused a port (#5575 )

2026-09-05 16:56:53 -04:00

uploadPermission.integration.test.js

Uploads and the other server routes use the same permission rules as the app: a permission given by the level thresholds or set on one person now counts, and a person's own deny now beats a role (it used to look at roles only, so someone shown as allowed could still be refused a picture upload)

2026-10-01 20:27:30 -04:00

uploadsTrim.test.js

Auto-Cleanup can cap the uploads folder: past a size you set, the oldest messages with files are removed until it is back under, and their files go to deleted-attachments. Pinned, archived and exempt messages stay, and avatars, emoji and stickers are never removed (Discussion 59)

2026-09-30 17:06:15 -04:00

voiceRelay.test.js

Voice relay hardening: a kicked person stops receiving the call at once, and any relay session whose person has left the call is closed within seconds; relay messages have a rate limit; one consumer per track, one setup per source at a time, capped consumers and upload per person; each source must carry its own kind; ending a screen share or camera stops its relay track; the setup page says the relay's address is visible to people in a call
