John MacFarlane b1a1f04168 ODT/opendocument writers: properly handle highlighting styles.
These styles were going into an office:styles element in content.xml,
but this is invalid. Instead they must go in styles.xml. See #9287.

The variable `highlighting-styles` no longer has any effect on
the default opendocument template, and highlighting styles are
not included in opendocument output.

John MacFarlane 0873895416 OpenDocument writer: implement syntax highlighting.
Still unimplemented: global background colors, line numbers.

Closes #6710, obsoletes #6717.

John MacFarlane 5e1b9591e1 Started implementing syntax highlighting for ODT.
Currently only colors are supported, not other text styles.

This change includes a new default opendocumnet template.

See #6710.

Michael Stahl f3e1d33ea0 Writers.ODT: stop validator complaints by producing ODF 1.3
The ODF validator complains about an invalid attribute
style:contextual-spacing in styles.xml, ultimately an implementation
error in whatever old version of LibreOffice that produced the
data/odt/styles.xml (should have put it into an extension namespace).

Fortunately the attribute was added to ODF 1.3, which was released a
couple years ago.

So the easiest fix is to simply produce ODF 1.3 instead of 1.2; it's
supposed to be fully backward compatible.

John MacFarlane 7d56650e01 OpenDocument writer: fix vertical align bug with display math.
Previously some displayed formulas would be floated above
a preceding text line. This is fixed by setting vertical-rel
to 'text' rather than 'paragraph-content'.

Closes #7777.

John MacFarlane c266734448 Use pretty-simple to format native output.
Previously we used our own homespun formatting. But this
produces over-long lines that aren't ideal for diffs in tests.
Easier to use something off-the-shelf and standard.

Closes #7580.

Performance is slower by about a factor of 10, but this isn't
really a problem because native isn't suitable as a serialization
format. (For serialization you should use json, because the reader
is so much faster than native.)

John MacFarlane 05ae9f265f Roll back automatic figure/table numbering in ODT/OpenDocument.
This was added in pandoc 2.7.2, but it makes it impossible
to use pandoc-crossref. So this has been rolled back for now,
until we find a good solution to make this behavior optional
(or a creative way to let pandoc-crossref and this feature
to coexist).

See #5474.

John MacFarlane ba05e1ea02 Shared.compactify: Avoid mixed lists.
This improves on the original fix to #5285 by preventing
other mixed lists (lists with a mix of Plain and Para
elements) that were allowed given the original fix.

John MacFarlane c9691b91df OpenDocument writer: small amendment to #5095.
Level one lists should start at 0.5in rather than 0.75in.
(At least this is how LibreOffice behaves for me with a new
document.)

Nils Carlson eb82fd6b5e ODT writer: Fix list indentation
Previously lists were indented by half an inch on the first line
for each level of nesting. This resulted in lists that looked like
this:

1. The first line of the list point text
the second line of the same list point.

Fix this and bring style into line with libreoffice standards:

    1. The first line of the list point text
the second line of the list point text.

Nils Carlson ecd4d5b8d8 OpenDocument writer: Implement figure numbering in captions (#4944)
Figure captions are now numbered 1, 2, 3, ... The format in
the caption is "Figure 1: <caption>" and so on.

This is necessary in order for libreoffice to generate an
Illustration Index (Table of Figures) for included figures.

John MacFarlane f82d574d14 OpenDocument writer: improve bullet/numbering alignment.
This patch eliminates the large gap we used to have between
bullet and text, and also ensures that numbers in numbered
lists will be right-aligned.

Closes #4385.

John MacFarlane 708973a33a Added spaced_reference_links extension.
This is now the default for pandoc's Markdown.
It allows whitespace between the two parts of a
reference link: e.g.

    [a] [b]

    [b]: url

This is now forbidden by default.

Closes #2602.

John MacFarlane 34b9bee5a4 OpenDocument writer: wider labels for lists.
This avoids overly narrow labels for ordered lists with
() delimiters.

However, arguably it creates overly wide labels for bullets.

Also, lists now start flush with the margin, rather than
indented.

Fixes #2421.

John MacFarlane 482e5b78a0 OpenDocument writer: use more widely available bullet characters.
The old characters weren't available in some font sets.
These seem to work well on Windows and Linux versions of LibreOffice.
