The two-row rows (name, then size and date) were keyed to a phone-width viewport, so between 481px and ~930px, where the sidebar and folder column take their share, the fixed size and modified columns squeezed names to a few characters. The layout now switches on the listing's own width with a container query, which phones still meet and wide listings never do.
