Keep a run-scoped evidence owner from acquisition through settlement and
cleanup retry. Bind token observations to native generations and retain
related generations and unresolved identity lookups across table omissions,
reparenting and process-group changes without treating PID hints as authority.
Use native effective UID facts for withholding decisions, corroborate Linux
procfs absence, and share the Linux stat parser with sampling and debugger
identity checks. Signal only after current token and group revalidation.
Complete swept cleanup across all groups with one bounded final family check;
retain unresolved owners and successful-peer completion across retries.
Validation: npm run check, docs:check and test discovery passed. Focused
ownership/consumer coverage totals 513 passed and 1 skipped across 35 files,
including the corrected Electron cancellation test rerun independently. Darwin helper compilation, real
owned Node child cleanup, CLI/MCP capture and retained cleanup retries ran.
Real Electron applications, native Linux races/PID reuse and Windows cleanup
were not qualified. The original Linux reports remain open for that work.

Retain physical stream errors and late caller cancellation independently. Expose an exact failed Darwin preparation root for cleanup retry without closing the shared reader.
Validation: 24 owned-command tests, 6 cancellation controls, 2 targeted Darwin cleanup retry controls, and check:fast. Controlled macOS processes only; no new real JVM or Ghidra verification.

Retain snapshot, endpoint, launch rollback and compiler cleanup owners. Join request finalization and cleanup cancellation. Preserve bounded compiler output and original byte counts through capture and Ghidra failures. Normalize execFile cancellation once at its producer.
Validation includes real macOS Ghidra TCP MCP success workflows, controlled Node compiler/process fault fixtures, focused regressions and static checks. Native Swift compiler faults, Windows execution and stdio transport were not verified. Broader startup primary classification in #4517 and native adapter propagation remain unfinished.
Summarize saved Wireshark4.x captures with enforced native resource limits, serialized admission, stable snapshot verification and retained fact/text pages. Preserve complete inventories within resource budgets and source uncertainty; report cleanup failure with partial Evidence and retained ownership.
Verified six recorded corpora /13026 packets with independent Scapy/Python oracles, real CLI/MCP/schema parity,60 SNI names,132 DNS addresses and1000 URIs. Real TShark CI now exercises summary/paging. Actual Windows/Bun Wireshark remains unverified; macOS capture requires a separate enforceable-bound decision.

Resolve each caller-selected Electron path once at the application boundary, collect field-specific failures with original causes, and pass canonical paths directly to the provider. Update direct provider consumers and route the real verifier through the shared application workflow.
Validation: public CLI/MCP invalid-path acceptance, canonicalization boundary, provider tests, and cancellation/cleanup checks. Live Electron launch was not verified. This does not address the separate Playwright launch-rejection crash in #2269.
Fixes#2272
Distinguish absent CLI directories from unreadable directory counts and truncated slots while preserving known PE headers and readable CLI data.
Retain environment-entry coverage in the Darwin parser and classify restricted empty, unavailable and ambiguous environments at the native boundary. Keep cleanup fail-closed; code-signing flags do not establish ownership.
Validation: 116 managed source tests, 13 ownership tests, native Swift parser probe and two live Darwin run-token tests; build, static checks and docs checks pass. Restricted-flag cases use parser fixtures; no real restricted capture is claimed. Related to #2035.
Parse otool field occurrences once and reject valueless required fields while retaining empty dylib options. Preserve compiler exit outcomes and stderr through capture errors and nested Ghidra causes, with explicit UTF-8 truncation after redaction.
Strengthen provider failure assertions and document the manual Ghidra 12.1.4 macOS x64 decompiler build using upstream instructions.
Validation: focused producer tests, nine fake-compiler preparation and cancellation tests, temporary-directory hygiene, static and documentation checks. No real Swift or Ghidra compilation was run locally.
Remove v3 capture conversion and require explicit executable identity and event journals. Preserve cancellation, execution diagnostics, snapshots, and cleanup outcomes from preparation through CLI delivery.
Cancelling the macOS process-ownership helper build left swiftc object files
in TMPDIR. Node's execFile sends SIGTERM on abort and rejects before the
child exits, and swift-driver runs each frontend job in its own process
group: on SIGTERM the driver exits while a job keeps writing, so REA removed
its root while objects were still being written outside and inside it.
Add an opt-in `stopSignal` to execFileOutput that stops the process with the
caller's signal on abort or timeout and settles only after it exits. Swift
helper builds stop swiftc with SIGINT, on which swift-driver stops its jobs
and deletes their objects, and point TMPDIR inside the root cleanup removes.
