Own the parsed engine facts separately from identity projections. Reuse successful unknown-version metadata, retain explicit refresh, and bind each execution identity to its own selected metadata under concurrent inspection.
Refs #4600 and #4597. Six affected files pass 58 tests; static, documentation and discovery checks passed. Real JEB and reconnect behavior remain unverified; prepared reconnect PR3754 stays separate pending cleanup ownership work.

Related: #3886, #4594. Controlled Node subprocess, provider/application and actual CLI regressions cover late abort ordering, active and preadmission cancellation, validated partial Evidence, physical failures, capture overflow and the unchanged ten-second deadline. The affected suite passed 218 tests across 14 files; static/docs/format/discovery checks passed. Native adb/device and Windows execution remain unverified.
Remaining related work: shared file-close cancellation provenance for digest consumers requires a separate producer and consumer migration.
Block showItemInFolder and writeShortcutLink using the shared active shell boundary, preserving undefined/false synchronous refusal contracts and shape-only timeline evidence.
Retain Nitin13-git implementation and add base-red/shared-contract coverage plus a reproducible unchanged Joplin welcome-attachment reveal. Local87cases, static and docs pass. The explicit test argv shim verifies the operation phase; standard startup and provider cleanup remain unsuccessful and are recorded without a full-workflow performance claim.

Java discovery cannot find a keg-only installation. Preserve caller-selected
runtime inputs and the Ghidra installation's declared Java bounds. Document
the installation paths and retain a regression showing only the requested
Java command is probed; no automatic JDK discovery or installation added.
Validation: 4 focused files, 122 passed; npm run check and docs:check passed.
Public CLI prerequisite fixtures ran on macOS; Homebrew keg-only guidance
is source/fixture verified against the primary formula documentation, not
a fresh Homebrew installation or a Windows runtime test.

Normalize empty addresses once at the symbol-inventory interpretation
boundary. Keep Swift and Objective-C records with null locations, preserve
the original empty value in evidence.reported_address, and retain partial
coverage instead of failing the entire metadata result. Nonempty provider
address syntax remains unchanged.
Validation: domain and production-registration MCP regressions failed before
the fix. Ten focused files passed 181 tests with 2 skipped, including SDK
converted JSON Schema/catalog validation and graph consumers. npm run check
and docs:check passed (5 documentation tests). Fixture provider only; no
native-provider malformed-symbol or Windows runtime reproduction claimed.
BREAKING CHANGE: Swift symbol address can now be null when the provider has
no location. Clients consuming swift_symbols must handle an unknown address.
The original provider value is retained in optional evidence.reported_address.

* feat(android): make the JADX operation deadline configurable
JADX operations used a fixed 120 s provider deadline and a separate fixed
120 s per-call bound in the session, so an APK whose cold load exceeds
120 s could not complete, and raising only the MCP client timeout could
not extend either. Add REA_JADX_OPERATION_TIMEOUT_MS, parsed once by the
JADX configuration owner (decimal milliseconds from 1 to 2147483647,
default 120000). The provider resolves it before acquiring anything and
uses it for the operation deadline and its timeout errors, and the session
uses it for every upstream call. Doctor reports the effective value, and
setup forwards an explicit value like the other JADX settings.

* test(android): isolate JADX fixtures from inherited shell settings
The shared JADX protocol fixture spread the developer's process.env, so an
exported REA_JADX_OPERATION_TIMEOUT_MS (or REA_JADX_HEAP_MIB) changed every
provider test that never selected one. Keep inheriting the host environment
for process launch, but take REA_JADX_* settings only from the fixture.

* feat(ghidra): support raw big-endian m68k analysis
Admit `m68k` for headerless raw-binary targets. Admission requires a
2-byte aligned entry and a mapping within 0x0..0xffffffff, and Ghidra
imports with BinaryLoader using 68000:BE:32:default, the default compiler
specification, and the `ram` default address space.
`6502` and `m68k` now share one RAW_ONLY_ARCHITECTURES owner, so detected
targets, Evidence subjects, snapshots, and lifecycle output contracts
exclude both instead of repeating a 6502 literal.
Ghidra's default 68000 language decodes the 68040 superset; separate
68020/68030/CPU32/ColdFire variants, Amiga/Atari containers, and reset
vector discovery remain unsupported. Windows Ghidra P0 still admits raw
6502 only.
Verified with Ghidra 12.1.4 on macOS against an 8-byte self-built fixture
(nop; nop; moveq #1,d0; rts at 0x1000): load image verified in `ram`,
entry decompiles to `return 1`.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
* test(ghidra): verify raw m68k analysis with real Ghidra
Add npm run verify:ghidra:m68k. The verifier loads a source-owned 22-byte
68000 fixture (annotated hex, no assembler) at 0x1000 and checks, through
the compiled CLI and stdio MCP server: the 68000:BE:32:default BinaryLoader
import, load-image parity, exact mapped bytes, both functions, the bsr.b
call reference, decompilation by address and file offset, rejection of a
misaligned entry and of a mapping past 0xffffffff without replacing the
active session, unchanged source bytes, and runtime cleanup.
Run with Ghidra 12.1.4 and JDK 21 on macOS arm64. Linux has not been
exercised; Windows Ghidra P0 does not admit m68k.

* fix(kuna): stream string scans instead of capping them at 16 MiB
`list_strings` and `search_strings` buffered Kuna's whole string JSON and
refused anything above 16 MiB. Kuna writes about 290 bytes per row, so
every app above roughly 10 MB failed with a non-retryable memory error:
a 20 MB Ghostty binary produces 31 MB, Raycast 30 MB and an arm64
Firefox XUL 179 MB.
Parse the scan as Kuna writes it. `runOwnedCommand` accepts a stdout
sink, and `KunaStringInventoryReader` owns the interpretation: it
tokenizes synchronously with stream-json, keeps exact u64 address
tokens, validates each row before retaining it, skips members it does
not interpret, and admits retained rows against live heap headroom
rather than a fixed scan size. The first contradiction stops Kuna
instead of waiting for the rest; an incomplete document is judged only
after Kuna's own exit status. Diagnostics keep the 8 MiB Kuna budget,
now shared with the project export.
Refs #1957

* fix(kuna): admit string scan text as it streams and drop sinks with their command
Review found that packed string tokens were assembled whole before the
reader could discard them or check heap headroom, and that a stdout sink
could outlive a cancelled or timed-out command.
Move the token mechanics into `KunaJsonDocumentReader`: keys and numbers
(Kuna's own fields) stay packed, while strings, which carry target-derived
text, arrive in chunks. Ignored strings are dropped unassembled and kept
ones are admitted against live heap headroom as they grow. Kept text is
copied out of the decoded chunk it was sliced from, so retained rows no
longer pin whole chunks (XUL: 278 MB retained before, 156 MB after).
`KunaStringInventoryReader` keeps only the string-scan semantics.
`runOwnedCommand` now ties the stdout pipeline to the command's deadline
signal and aborts it when collection fails, destroying the sink.
Refs #1957

* fix(kuna): type the stream-json tokenizer where it is imported
The Reverse tools quality lane type-checks a partial project that reaches
KunaJsonStream without the separate streamJsonParser.d.ts augmentation,
so jsonParser had no declaration there. Declare the tokenizer's shape at
its only import site and remove the augmentation file, so every
compilation of the reader is self-contained. Split two helpers out of
the token dispatcher and simplify the stdout sink wait in
runOwnedCommand, which keeps the added complexity minimal.
Refs #1957

* fix(kuna): bound key and number assembly in streamed Kuna JSON
Review found that packed keys (and packed numbers) were assembled whole
by the tokenizer before the reader could discard or constrain them, so a
malformed scan with one enormous key could still exhaust the heap.
Stream every scalar. Keys are assembled only up to 64 code units, past
every field name the reader keeps, so a longer key is skipped unmatched;
kept numbers longer than that are rejected, and ignored numbers are
dropped unassembled. XUL's 611k-row scan parses in the same time.

* fix(kuna): stream the call graph instead of capping it at 32 MiB (#4329)
* fix(kuna): stream the call graph instead of capping it at 32 MiB
Call relationships buffered `kuna decompile-graph` and refused output
above 32 MiB. A 53 MB Raycast binary produces a 157 MB graph (180k
functions, 773k edges), so every call query failed with a non-retryable
memory error after Kuna's minute-long whole-program walk.
`KunaCallGraphReader` validates the graph through the shared streaming
document reader. It retains only the facts queries use (126 MB for
Raycast) and checks edges against the complete node set once Kuna
exits. Unrequested bodies are refused before any of their text is
assembled, through new must-be-null row fields; address fields may be
null, as `forwardsTo` is. Malformed graphs are now `AnalysisOutputError`
like the string scan.
`KunaQueryWork.scan` owns the run-and-validate sequence both producers
shared: diagnostics budget, early rejection and retention of
deterministic overflow.
Refs #1957
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
* fix(kuna): index call-graph edges as they stream
Review found that the reader kept every parsed edge and built the edge
indexes only after streaming, outside any heap admission, so a large
graph could exhaust the heap instead of returning a memory constraint.
Index each edge when it arrives: duplicate pairs and callee orders are
checked per caller, call edges go straight into the caller/callee
indexes, and no edge array is kept, so the whole working set grows under
the per-row admission. Endpoints and order completeness are checked once
all nodes are known, and the validation-only indexes are released then.
Raycast's graph now peaks at 346 MB instead of 503 MB and retains 93 MB
instead of 126 MB, in the same time.
Also drop imports the shared scan made unused.

Require the native node owner's content digest instead of borrowing an
observation artifact digest, which can identify the containing ASAR. Keep
unavailable nodes and their path/provenance/partial facts in the trace,
without a false actionable target or native Evidence link. Remove the old
fallback and allocate the query index only for eligible native targets.
Verify real public CLI/stdio MCP workflows, known/missing companion inputs
and shipped Joplin controls. Preserve reproducible scripts, source pins and
compact correctness/resource/token records without archiving applications.
Fixes#3926. Part of #4027.

* fix(kuna): answer a repeated single-function request without re-running Kuna
A session dropped each single-function run once it settled, so a repeat
request for the same procedure re-ran `kuna decompile --addr`, which
analyzes the whole image again. After a failed export every pseudocode
request uses that path for the rest of the session.
Keep each completed text by entry address, within a 16 MiB least recently
used budget, until the export's reader is adopted or the session closes.
Failed and cancelled runs are not kept. The export's text still supersedes
a kept one.

* test(kuna): pin that a kept text's hit refreshes its recency
With two 9 MiB texts only one fit the budget, so a repeated lookup could
not change which entry was dropped. Use three 6 MiB texts: re-reading main
leaves parse least recently used, so keeping broken must drop parse.
