Carry the capture handle cleanup lease through retry results and bind composed export failures to it. Bind aborted binary retirement errors to the failed close so successful later cleanup reveals the original cancellation.
Validation: 46 focused tests passed; npm run check passed. Four regression assertions fail on the original source. Full suite and real-provider workflows were not run.
Keep raw physical read diagnostics alongside explicit operation provenance on the same cleanup owner. Preserve provenance after successful close retry for opted-in readers, restore legacy error projections, and prevent borrowed cleanup-shaped failures from authorizing foreign resource retries.
Refs #5686
Tag physical read outcomes at the owning boundary and preserve opaque caller cancellation reasons through JSON pipelines and reference imports. Share named bounded-read options across consumers and retain failed cleanup ownership for retry.
Closes#5686
Export an authenticated capture and environment manifest as a pinned agentenv bundle with provenance, a replay verifier and smoke task.
Followups preserve immutable input ownership, bounded discovery, caller paths and numeric values; bind bundle writes and package copying to retained filesystem owners; verify POSIX modes; retain cleanup authority; and verify framework/npm executable selection. Default MCP remains stdio.
Validation: pinned Linux toolchain, typecheck/build/lint/format/docs/knip, 452 focused tests, ten product-catalog cases, real GitHub response replay in the generated non-root Docker image, and the real pinned agentenv framework smoke workflow. Platform and resource-measurement limits are recorded in the feature verification document.

Replace configuration-specific write-file-atomic delegation with a verified
input snapshot, exclusive private staging, and an explicit canonical-parent
destination. Existing files publish by rename; first-run files use an exclusive
link so a newly created destination is retained. Both consumers read back the
publication owner's selected path.
Retain descriptor and staging cleanup capabilities through recovery and host
retry. Preserve mode and ownership, remove temporary permission handoffs, and
use positional restoration writes. Keep UTF-8 diagnostics with failed cleanup.
Validation: 284 focused tests passed, one skipped across 14 files; check:fast,
format:check, docs:check (including five consistency tests), two source reviews,
and 12 completed isolated public CLI setup/uninstall cost controls passed.
Native Windows/Linux, real editor concurrency, and providers were not verified.
Final-check/publication races and same-inode concurrent writers remain unexcluded.
Fixes#4904
Replace pathname writes with the shared configuration publication owner.
Reject replacement readback and restore through the exact staged descriptor.
Retain initial-read, readback and publication cleanup owners for retry. Share
nested cleanup handling with setup without granting authority to opaque
cancellation reasons. Separate host admission from nested file cleanup gates.
Preserve uninstall file modes, including readable read-only configurations.
Hold the exact staging permission owner through writable-descriptor handoff
and failed mode restoration. Remove the superseded writeText effect contract.
Validation: 206 focused tests across 9 files, check:fast, formatting and
docs:check passed. Three uninstall replacement controls fail on baseline
7e4eed9dd while thirteen setup controls pass. Twelve completed CLI uninstall
tasks preserve equivalent outputs, config, backups and modes0400/0640.
Two read-only source reviews completed. Native Windows/Linux and real editor
races remain unverified; in-place writer exclusion is still not provided.
Closes#4902
Do not interpret exact caller cancellation reasons as descriptor ownership records. Preserve checkpoint-shaped reasons through successful close retry and supply cancellation context in direct signal-aware cleanup consumers.
Validation: 156 focused tests across 14 files passed; no native provider execution. Refs #4610
Record cancellation at file checkpoints and before owner handoff. Keep physical hash failures, exact reasons, completed facts and failed-close owners distinct through artifact and provider projections and cleanup retries.
Refs #4598. Validated with 566 passing affected tests and 22 platform skips; final Kuna cleanup reason rerun passed 43 tests. No Android device or real JADX/Kuna execution claimed.
Fixes#4379.
Observe cancellation after file metadata, verified descriptor closure and recovered scope cleanup. Retain completed physical read outcomes and acquired-file digests under cancellation; preserve original failures and exact cleanup owners when close fails.
Bind cancellation markers to their verified owner so raw readers preserve nested callback outcomes and exact caller reasons. Reuse one ADB partial-result mapper for file, package and bugreport acquisition.
Validated with 570 related tests, source/docs checks, real Linux filesystem cancellation/cleanup/nesting probes and actual public CLI/MCP Evidence workflows.
* fix(application): retain completed evidence through cancellation

Keep failed JSON read handles in the existing server resource scope and fail admission until cleanup succeeds. Thread cancellation through every process CLI input read and replace timer-driven cancellation checks with a shared first-read gate.
Classify authenticated standalone Evidence as wrong-kind input while preserving tampered-record integrity failures and actionable messages across ledger, CLI, and MCP consumers. Record unrelated CS_RESTRICT process neighbors as unverified without weakening related-process ownership checks. Update stale ADB fixtures for the actual shell protocol.
Validated focused CLI, MCP, filesystem, ownership, and error projection tests; static, docs, and duplication gates pass. The host-level CS_RESTRICT load reproduction was not run. Refs #2050, #2035, #2064.
Thread the existing resource scope through skill and client configuration reads. Keep failed-close handles owned, wait for admitted reads, and surface unresolved cleanup alongside doctor, uninstall and update results.
Validated focused setup/doctor/update and filesystem boundary checks, temporary-file hygiene, packaged setup/update/uninstall workflows, and static checks. No external provider installation was performed.
Require a caller-owned artifact resource scope for source traversal and Git metadata reads. Preserve cancellation, filesystem reasons, partial entries and bytes, and cleanup observations through import and the CLI. Transfer exact failed file owners at regular-file admission and close boundaries, including multiple failures encountered by Git reference resolution.
Validation: 169 focused tests passed across 26 files; two Windows-only cases skipped. Build, typecheck, lint, formatting, knip, architecture guards, discovery and docs checks passed.
BREAKING CHANGE: Reference source readers and imports require an ArtifactResourceScope. VCS metadata reads return Result, and CLI import failures include observed details and partial evidence.
Stream large CLI JSON files through a strict UTF-8 decoder and standard JSON parser using the same admitted regular-file handle. Preserve native parsing for small inputs, typed malformed-input/resource/access-denied errors, cancellation, and complete Evidence.
Verified with focused public CLI regressions, a 768 MB whitespace-padded valid request, and the Windows native decoder boundary. Individual strings and the assembled object graph remain subject to native runtime limits. All 27 final-head checks passed.
Refs #1331
Verify selected files through a nonblocking opened handle before reading. Preserve regular-file symlinks and return actionable CLI/MCP diagnostics without publishing output.
