* fix(application): retain completed evidence through cancellation
Validate completed provider reports before classifying cancellation and preserve Evidence and captured diagnostics. Share MCP recording and delivery across custom observation handlers. Add source-owned completion and public SDK recording controls. Refs #3923, #3927, #4261.
* fix(wasm): retain final observations through cancellation
Keep completed Evidence after finalization and through CLI/MCP delivery. Preserve output and cleanup failure precedence. Refs #4254.
* fix(browser): retain final observations and forward cancellation
Classify final CDP detach and completed scenario cleanup at the provider boundary. Translate completed partials into canonical Evidence for MCP recording, and forward CLI cancellation to passive Electron tools. Refs #4255, #4256, #4257.
* fix(ghidra): isolate cancellation of shared startup waiters
Keep startup group-owned while each caller has an independent abortable wait. Await final-owner cleanup and preserve cleanup facts before retrying. Reuse the shared abortable promise helper. Refs #3983.
* fix(mcp): keep shutdown registrations until cleanup succeeds
Retain repeated event requests while unresolved owners need cleanup, and unregister only after success. Verify coalescing and failed-owner retry. Refs #4253.
* fix(adb): own transfer snapshots and stage screen publication
Bind transfer digests to the exact private input bytes and preserve caller APK names. Retain failed descriptors and private-root owners with typed cleanup evidence; publish captures exclusively after the cancellation cutoff. Refs #4251, #4252.
* fix(verification): report ADB cleanup failures
Always close after attempted verification and keep unexpected primary failures and cleanup details visible. Exercise the production script with controlled imports, including null and undefined throws. Refs #4260.
* fix(runner): stop owned Windows commands on cancellation
Use the retained ChildProcess handle for IPC cancellation and parent disconnection. Keep the SQLite lock until observed child close, and include native Windows regressions in the curated CI lane. Native Windows results remain pending. Refs #4258.
* fix(website): canonicalize link containment boundaries
Compare resolved targets with resolved repository and site roots. Accept directory aliases while preserving escape checks and keep fixtures within their temporary owner. Refs #4264.
* docs(testing): cover completion races and cleanup retry
Clarify validation-before-cancellation, independent startup waiter controls, producer and adapter coverage, and repeated shutdown events.
* fix(filesystem): retain file owners and completed reads after close failure
* fix(session): report retained snapshot staging in cleanup status
Fixes#4277. Include both snapshot and profile file-resource scopes in the owning status fact, preserving publication receipts and cleanup retry.

Document the observed SDK cancellation boundary and the open design decision in #4276 without promoting raw errors to Evidence.

Distinguish missing CDP inventories from observed empty arrays, retain valid
accessibility and worker siblings, and admit required fields before scope
inference. Stop interpreting DOM documents without a usable string table.
Validated producer semantics and simulated CDP provider boundaries; this does
not establish real Chrome or Electron engine behavior.

inspect-electron-page read missing or non-array DOMSnapshot documents and
node arrays, frame-tree resource lists, and Target.getTargets target lists
as empty inventories while reporting complete_within_window.
The web capture path already validated these replies. Its parsing now has
one shared owner in CdpCaptureDocuments: snapshotDocuments,
snapshotDocumentNodes and frameTreeResources report unreadable parts
through a callback, and both the web and Electron inspections consume
them. Worker discovery records a missing target list or non-record entry as
an invalid_protocol_value exclusion. The Electron copies of this parsing are
removed.

Keep omitted discovery attachment state as null through Node, browser, Electron, and reconciliation evidence. Report the uncertainty while retaining Node observation unless discovery explicitly marks the target attached. Reject worker TargetInfo records missing the required boolean with partial coverage.
Validate omitted and explicit states through provider, CLI, and MCP boundaries and real Node 24 Inspector workflows. Consolidate Electron regression coverage into the existing list-and-inspect workflow.
BREAKING CHANGE: attached fields in JavaScript runtime, browser, and Electron target discovery and inspection results may be null when discovery does not report attachment state.
* fix(electron): resolve pages served from inside app.asar
Packaged Electron applications load their renderer pages from file URLs
inside app.asar. The host filesystem cannot stat those paths, so
list_electron_targets excluded every such page as unsupported_url and
inspect_electron_page could not select it.
Resolve these URLs the way Electron's file protocol does: the first .asar
path component that is a regular file is the archive, and the remainder
must name a regular file in its header. Directories, links, and missing
members stay rejected. Parsed headers are cached by archive identity.
* fix(artifacts): extract and explain rewritten ASAR unpacked companions
Packaging tools commonly sign or strip .asar.unpacked native binaries after
writing the archive header, so their declared hashes no longer match.
analyze_javascript_application already accepts integrity_policy, but
extract_artifact did not, and inspect_artifact and extract_artifact still
told callers to "get a fresh copy", which cannot help for a shipped app.
- Accept integrity_policy on extract_artifact (MCP and CLI). The default
still fails closed; record-and-continue writes the observed bytes and
returns the extracted files' integrity_contradictions records.
- Name the unpacked entry and the post-packaging cause in integrity
failures, and point every operation that accepts integrity_policy at
record-and-continue.
- Report an active unpacked entry whose companion file is absent as
unavailable with its logical path instead of a format failure.
- Share one integrity_policy schema across the inventory, extraction, and
JavaScript application inputs.
* fix(electron): bound ASAR headers before allocation

Deliver complete Evidence directly through MCP with required nullable analysis profiles and immutable per-server delivery settings. Bind selected environments at construction and require typed cleanup outcomes with retained retry ownership.
Remove test-only routing, duplicate session and snapshot metadata, producer-field repairs, and ambiguous provider arguments. Separate artifact byte identity from occurrence classification and retain typed source-map and partial native facts across CLI, MCP, and verifier consumers.
BREAKING CHANGE: obsolete Evidence envelopes, session aliases, incomplete snapshots, and missing normalized producer facts are no longer accepted.
