Alexander Shaduri fb5d139443 The detection now executes smartctl on the drives directly. 
Don't execute smartctl --info if it was already executed during drive detection.
Made number of scanned ports configurable.

parse error, which is incorrect).

Alexander Shaduri 213c26db3f Don't add sd* device if it's 3ware controller. 
Properly add devices detected through 3ware scan (linux).
Limit smartctl sequential scans to 24 drives (it takes too long without it).

Alexander Shaduri 8ae3c42100 Added tooltips to both the labels and the entries in Add Device and Preferences 
dialogs.
Changed the tooltips to avoid showing unsupported values for that OS.
Fixed usb drive re-detection with scsi (regression from previous commit).
Fixed invalid regexps in tw_cli output parsing (fixes 3ware in windows).
Added support for "Product" field of USB drives (used instead of Device in
newer smartctl).

Alexander Shaduri a2d735fee5 Added support for specifying -d option and extra parameters via command line 
and preferences dialog. StorageDevice will use the specified type and
arguments when executing smartctl. This change effectively adds support for
multiple drives behind a single device name.
The preferences dialog can distinguish between various device types now (when
supplying smartctl arguments).

Alexander Shaduri 778872363a New and improved attribute database (including SSD attributes). 
Attributes are now matched according to smartctl names, and only then by ids.
Attribute notices are set by their generic names, not ids.
Improved displaying of attributes when they're unknown to us but known to
smartctl.
Set descriptions on all known capabilities.
Disabled tooltips on self-test log and error log entries (they always showed
"description unavailable" anyway).

Blacklisted linux device mapper devices (annoying in LVM setups).
Added beesu support and generally improved gsmartcontrol-root script (this is
needed for Fedora 14 which doesn't have any old supported su mechanisms).
Added "menu" dependency for deb packages.
Added kdev4 project.

Previous test result is cleared in GUI when running new tests now.
Windows: Vastly improved installer, supports built-in GTK+ now.
Windows: A proper method of privilege escalation is used for Vista/7.
Windows: GSmartControl works on Windows 7 now.
Updated copyright for files with Whatever License to use Unlicense.
